The Subaru Impreza WRX GC8 (1992–2000) is the iconic first-generation JDM rally legend, a turbocharged AWD compact sedan (and wagon/coupe variants) that dominated WRC and became a tuner icon. Powered by the EJ20 turbo flat-four boxer engine, it delivered 220–280 hp (depending on version/market/year, with JDM STI models hitting ~276–280 hp) and strong mid-range torque through a slick 5-speed manual and symmetrical all-wheel drive with viscous limited-slip differentials.
